Pregnancy
 Valium (Diazepam), as well as other drugs from benzodiazepine family, should not be used during pregnancy. The reason is that it can harm a fetus or cause a floppy infant syndrome in newborns. Especially it is harmful when taking during the third trimester. In case you become pregnant after you started taking Valium, inform your doctor immediately.
This drug is not recommended for breastfeeding women, because it passes into breast milk and can be harmful for a nursing baby. If you want to breastfeed your baby, you should better consult your doctor beforehand.
